Microsoft Robots?
Microsoft Scientists Offer Glimpse of the Future at European Innovation Fair - In this article, they talk about Microsoft getting involved in robotics. No, they are not coming out with a Rosy the Robot. Their idea is to come out with software to control robots. Simple toy robots. From phones. Phones that happen to be running a version of M$ software. What a surprise.
I'm glad it is just for toys. I don't like the idea of a robot in my kitchen, working with dangerous equpment, and then getting a blue-screen-of-death. :)

CD Flinging Lego Robot
Hammerhead, the CD thrower robot
This robot flings CDs an average of over 20 feet!
It uses large spinning wheels to fling the CDs. The thing I like most about the design was the inovative idea of spinning the flinging wheels at different speeds, to make the CD spin as well, increasing stability!
